countries and the library holds one of the largest
collections of publications on armoured warfare
in the world.

Martyrs Museum & Trail
You can relive the lives and times of the Tolpuddle
Martyrs by following their trail in Tolpuddle
village. The museum tells of the people, background
and events experienced by the martyrs, whilst
in the village you will find Thomas Sandfield's
cottage, James Hammett's grace and 'Martyrs' Tree'
which sheltered Friendly Society meetings.

Athelhampton
House and Gardens is an outstanding 15th Century
manor house containing fine furniture, set in
extensive architectural gardens and famous for
its stunning topiary pyramids and association
with the writer Thomas Hardy.

Gardens
Set in 180 acres, the Sir
Harold Hillier Gardens and arboretum contains
the greatest collection of hardy trees and shrubs
in the world - a garden for all seasons it provides
a year round kaleidoscope of colour, scents and
textures.

Victoria's seaside residence, you can enjoy
the glorious gardens, including the Victorian
walled fruit and flower garden and the miniature
Swiss cottage where the Royal Children played.

Abbey Garden, House & Estate
This 12th
Century Augustininan priory was converted
into a private house after the Dissolution, and
still retains the spring or 'font' from which
its name is derived. It is set amidst glorious
countryside along the River Test.
